Now is the time to fill the shoes of the hero again. Variety was first on the scene with a list of candidates that includes actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Garrett Hedlund (Tron), Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Kellan Lutz (Twilight Saga). But there’s moreThe director Tony Gilroy, said Bourne Legacy “is not a reboot or a consolidation or a prequel. There will be a new hero, a new chapter … this is an independent project.” No one is replacing Matt Damon. Last October we learned that the fourth film in the Jason Bourne franchise will not include the holder out amnesiac hero, but rather a novel character.
But who is the best man for the jobYes, it seems that this is one of the most coveted roles for young actors at this time. After publication Variety, Time up with more names on the shortlist. Apparently, Joel Edgerton (Animal Kingdom), Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down), Paul Dano (“There Will Be Blood), Michael Pitt (” Boardwalk Empire “), Oscar Isaac (of Lies), Michael Fassbender (Cursed bastards), Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans), Alex Pettyfer (I’m the number four) and Benjamin Walker (recently issued in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter).
As of now there is no favorite for the role so anything can happen. After playing strange and squalid characters in films like Little Miss Sunshine, Taking Woodstock, and more, it does not seem the type of action hero, but I love to see him against a role like this. His talent has been proven to work in films such as Animal Kingdom, and while the actor is likely to become a more recognizable name after remake hits theaters, this will launch her to stardom. Meanwhile Lutz names like Pettyfer and do not inspire much confidence. Who do you think should carry the legacy of BourneMy personal favorite off this list is Joel Edgerton. The most likely option, but completely interesting is Paul Dano.
