Since the project was first announced, Sony Pictures Television has searched far and wide to the three young actresses to star in ABC’s resumption of Charlie’s Angels. Annie Ilonzeh (General Hospital) was launched last week – Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) and Rachael Taylor (Transformers) is in talks to join her.

On Deadline, Taylor is Abby, the young and “daring” the trio of crime fighting. Abby, the offspring of a known con man on Wall Street, is a con artist and expert in Krav Magra.
Izoneleh is Kate, a smart and very athletic former cop who happens to be a martial arts master.
Kelly would study in the series, but not necessarily as Marisa. Kelly’s character is not so simple. The character will no longer be called Marisa by the time you finish.Currently the third angel is the former Marisa Marino, a weapons expert and total neat freak. Producers are reshaping the role to better adapt to the considerable talents of Kelly.
